General Dentistry at Sunbury, Gisborne & Diggers Rest

Sunbury Dental House proudly offers general dental care to local Sunbury, Gisborne & Diggers Rest residents.

Benefits of General Dentistry

Your oral and dental health is important to us. By developing good oral health habits such as regular check-ups with a dentist you can trust, you will help prevent and treat decay before it becomes a severe problem.

Our Sunbury dentists are able to keep track of your dental checkups in order to identify and address any concerns before they become more serious.

Initial Dental Exam

We provide initial dental exams and consultations to all our new patients.

For patients with private health insurance we recommend you to bring your card along so we can claim on the spot. Saves having to pay in full and claim in your own personal time!

Your initial dental check up will include:

  • A thorough examination of teeth and gums
  • Advice on oral hygiene habits
  • X-rays as needed
  • Scale, polish and fluoride treatment

If you require further treatment, our team will work with you to create a personalised care plan that works for your schedule and budget. We also have flexible payment plans for your whole family!

Take Good Care of Your Teeth

Protect your family’s teeth from cavities, gum disease and toothache by instilling a good oral health routine into their daily lives. We highly recommend the following:

  • Brushing teeth twice a day
  • Flossing before going to sleep
  • No drinking milk, fruit juice or fizzy drinks at night
  • Visiting a dentist every 6 months

General Dentistry Procedures:

We offer a variety of general dentistry procedures to ensure your teeth are in the best possible health!

DENTAL CROWNS & BRIDGES: Dental crowns and bridges are two of the most common restorations patients require. Dental crowns repair damaged teeth, and dental bridges replace missing teeth. Both have benefits that can help patients eat a wider variety of foods and enjoy greater convenience in daily life.

PORCELAIN VENEERS: Disguise discoloured, damaged or decayed teeth with our durable porcelain dental veneers. Sunbury Dental House’s thin, porcelain shells are customised to fit your teeth and designed to conceal concerns such as chipped, cracked or discoloured teeth. In comparison to traditional orthodontic treatments, they are an effective way to improve your smile with minimal downtime.

TEETH WHITENING: Teeth Whitening is one of the easiest and most cost effective ways to improve the appearance and colour of your teeth. Whether you have a special occasion around the corner or just want a brighter and whiter smile, Sunbury Dental House provide professional teeth whitening to help you remove stains that brushing at home won’t clean away.

DENTURES: When patients need a reliable and affordable way to replace multiple missing teeth, complete dentures or partial dentures may provide a solution. At Sunbury Dental House, we custom design dentures to achieve a good fit and attractive results as well as restore our patients’ smiles after tooth loss or extractions.

FILLINGS: Fillings can be required for a few reasons. Dental fillings are one of the most frequent dental procedures completed at Sunbury Dental House, as failure to get a filling may result in the cavity growing so deep that an endodontic treatment or extraction is required.

ROOT CANAL THERAPY: Root canal therapy is a dental procedure to replace a tooth’s damaged or infected pulp with a filling. However, with root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, Sunbury Dental House can help save your tooth.

WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL: Wisdom teeth are the last set of molars developed in late teenage years or early adulthood and can be a threat to the health of the rest of your mouth. At Sunbury Dental House, we only recommend wisdom tooth removal for patients who have infected or severely damaged teeth.

CHILDREN”S DENTISTRY: Your child’s health is important to us. By developing good oral health habits such as regular check-ups with a paediatric dentist you can trust, you will help your child prevent and treat decay before it becomes a severe problem.

SLEEP DENTISTRY: Sleep dentistry (or sedation dentistry) allows patients to receive their dental treatment while in a state of intense relaxation. At Dental House, we utilise intravenous (IV) sedation: this level of anaesthesia allows the patient to remain conscious, but they are in such a deep sleep-like state that they feel no pain, worry or anxiety.
