How Many Visits Do I Need to Get All On 4 Plus® Implants?
Hi, I’m Dr Fong, the founder and principal dentist of Dental House Group.
One of our lovely patients, Dolly from Caroline Springs, is planning on getting All On 4 Plus® implants to replace the dentures she has been wearing. When I saw her last, she asked me a simple question, “Hey Fong, how many visits do I need to get All On 4 Plus® Implants? I look after 3 grandkids, so I need to plan my schedule ahead of time.”
I get it! Everyone is busy these days, so I thought I’ll answer that question on a video, just in case you are also looking at replacing a full arch of teeth with an All On 4 Plus® implant procedure.
All On 4 Plus® dental implants is a modern and advanced teeth replacement procedure. Instead of a traditional bridge or dentures, patients can have a row of teeth or a dental arch secured to four to six dental implants. This creates a fixed prosthesis to replace your missing teeth, but with this solution, you don’t have to remove them and they won’t move while you are eating or talking. Most patients can get All On 4 Plus® implants in two to four visits.
You will first come in for your initial consultation. Here we will understand what you would like to achieve. What are the limitations of your case? As no one patient is the same, we would like to examine your situation and make sure this is the right treatment option for you.
Next we will take all the records that we need to create your new teeth. Photos and impressions are taken to help us design your new smile.
We will schedule another visit for the surgery, during which incisions will be made into your gums and four to six implants will be placed into the jawbone. This process can be done under sedation or general anesthetic.
Within 1-2 days, we will secure your teeth onto the implants, and you are all done. We will have you come in again a few weeks later so we can be sure everything is healing as it should, but essentially, the All On 4 Plus® process is complete. In some cases, upgrades of the teeth are required after 4 months of healing.
Each patient is different and has unique needs, which is why we say the entire process may require anywhere from two to four visits. But some patients may need more. For example, if you need treatment for a tooth or bone infection, which has to be done before implants, this will increase the number of visits you need.
We provide each patient with a customised treatment and after-care plan to ensure you will heal as quickly as you can. The best way to see how long the process will be for you is to come in for a comprehensive dental exam and assessment. We can determine if you are a candidate, as well as estimate how many visits it will take.
Here at Dental House Group, we offer flexible payment plans, as well as assisting you to apply for an early release of your super to fund the dental procedure. This means you can get your healthy dream smile faster!
We also offer a complimentary, no obligation All On 4 Plus® consultation.
