What Is Dental Monitoring
What Is Dental Monitoring
One of our patients, Billy from Sunbury, has decided to move forward with Invisalign to straighten his teeth. While excited about this, he was a bit concerned that he may not be able to keep all of his dental appointments because of his heavy travel schedule for work. We assured him that we can help save his time with dental monitoring. I decided to make a video about this, because dental monitoring is an important part of modern dentistry here at Dental House.
Dental monitoring is a way that patients and dentists or orthodontists can meet virtually. It can save the patient time by reducing the number of office visits and allow the dentist to monitor the progress of treatment remotely. It is mainly used for treatment with clear aligners and can help the dentist see that the teeth are moving as planned. If there is an unexpected change, the dentist can notify the patient right away so they can schedule an office visit and make any necessary adjustments.
Dental monitoring is easy to use with a specialised app that you can download. The patient needs only their phone, laptop or desktop and internet. The patient will be provided with a Cheek Retractor and Scan Box to take scans of their teeth, which helps the dentist gauge their progress. The entire process is convenient and quickly becoming a preferred way for dentists and patients to interact, giving the patient more freedom and flexibility during their treatment.
Here at Dental House, we have decided to incorporate dental monitoring as part of our commitment to keep up with the latest dental technology that will serve our patients lifestyles and goals. This system is highly suitable for today’s busy patients and for those who simply cannot travel to the office for any reason. No matter if you are home-bound or on holiday, we can monitor your progress in real time with convenient, remote appointments.

Invisalign clear aligners is one of the most popular teeth alignment services and is preferred for many adults because the treatment is barely noticeable. Our teenage patients also enjoy clear aligners because they are low profile compared to braces. Dental monitoring can benefit both adults with busy work or travel commitments, and teens with their busy school schedules and extracurricular activities.
I hope this video helped you understand what dental monitoring is, and how it helps with your orthodontic treatment.
If you are looking at straightening your smile with Invisalign or braces, we would love to help.
