What Is All-on-4®?
What Is All-on-4®?
This morning, my receptionist asked me, what is ‘All-on-4®’? And why are we getting so many patients asking about it? I thought it’s such a great question, so I will make a short video on All-on-4® or all on x, just in case this procedure can benefit you.
Unless we have all the teeth missing to start with, often we have patients coming in with foundation problems with their teeth, uneven bite, multiple areas of a bone infection or loose teeth, they tend to be good candidates for the All-on-4® procedure.
Now, what happens if they do nothing? Over time, you can have further bone loss, decrease eating ability, loose teeth that will fall out, a bone infection that can cause further nerve damage.
So to fix this problem with multiple teeth or a full arch of teeth, traditionally, we can have full dentures to replace all your teeth. But there is the catch… dentures without implants are for smiling, and not for chewing. They tend to be very uncomfortable and can fall out, this is not fun when you are in public.
Instead, you can have an All-on-4® or all-teeth-on-X procedure, which is a procedure done to replace all your teeth in one arch with just four or more implants. It’s like magic. Often it’s done within as little as 3 days.
Dental implants change our life. It is highly aesthetic, convenient and durable. After the procedure, you can eat, speak and smile comfortably and confidently again.
I hope you found this video useful. If you have many missing teeth or using dentures at the moment, are based in Melbourne, and are considering a more permanent and comfortable solution, we would love to look after you.
