Need to Replace All Your Teeth? What Are the Options?
Hi, Dr Linda here from Sunbury Dental House.
If you’re looking into replacing all your teeth, there are a few great options, and I’d love to share them with you to help you make an informed decision before booking an appointment.
When it comes to full arch replacement, there are three main choices to consider:
First up is the All-On-4 fixed option.
This is the most ideal and stable solution, where we place 4 to 6 implants per jaw to anchor a full set of teeth. These teeth are fixed, meaning you don’t need to take them out, and they offer the best functionality and chewing power. While you’ll need regular check-ups for maintenance, day-to-day, this option gives you the most natural experience.
Next are overdentures.
With overdentures, we place 2 implants per arch to help stabilise a denture. The denture clips onto these implants, offering more security than traditional dentures, but you can still remove them for cleaning.

Finally, we have full dentures.
Full dentures don’t need implants and simply rest on your gums. While they’re the most cost-effective option, they don’t offer as much stability or chewing capacity as the others.
Choosing the right option really depends on things like your overall health, your budget, lifestyle, and your long-term dental goals.
So, if you’re thinking about full mouth replacement options, we can definitely help. We also offer a great range of payment plans and can assist you with an early release of your super.
